Scholarships
The Douglas L. Williams Alumni Chapter prides itself on recruiting future tigers in the Greater Houston area. Chapter members participate in various recruiting activities through the year including college fairs, church visits and presentations to youth groups. Every year, the chapter hosts a bus a trip to GSU’s High School Day and awards scholarships to deserving students from the Houston area. Discover what Grambling State University has to offer and become a “G”!
The DLW Chapter offers scholarships for current, transfer, and incoming freshmen students from the Houston area. Students who meet the following qualifications are encouraged to apply.

A resident of Houston or surrounding areas within a 100-mile radius

A graduating high school senior, with an overall GPA of 2.5 or above (on a 4.0 scale), admitted to Grambling State University for the fall 2025 semester
OR
-
A student currently enrolled in Grambling State University, returning for the fall 2025 semester, with overall GPA of 3.0 or above
OR
-
A transfer student, enrolling in Grambling State University for the fall 2025 semester, with an overall GPA of 3.0 or above (on a 4.0 scale). The college in which you are transferring from does not have to be in the Houston area.
